From Code4Pizza
Metro app on Android
For anyone from code4pizza who wants to download the app i've been working on you can here, for everyone else ive published the latest version on the android market. Link to the market
It is based on the Sydtrans Opensource project available on Google code, I have been making amendments to the UI side of the code so far and built the database with the help of David Wilsons (@DavidBelfast) python scaping code for the translink website
The app downloads a database (sqlite) on first use and stores this on the SD card (currently a 1mb zipped download which occupies 6mb on the sd card), Having the database saved on the phone saves on the requirement to have a data connection for future uses, but of course there are many downsides to this.
The app has the capability of selecting a future date and time to forward plan a journey.

I am looking into using the GPS on the phone to pre-fill the start position with the closest stop or offer the user the option to select from one of the nearby stops.
Any comments stick them up here, hit me up on twitter or drop me a mail
